The Webuzo Team has released Webuzo version 4.7.0, which includes some  improvements, and bug fixes.


[Improvement] Reseller Privileges Plan improved.

[Task] Added Reseller Privileges Plans to normal plans and provided an option to select a Reseller Privileges Plan while creating reseller accounts.

[Task] Added a multi-delete option for plans.

[Bug Fix] Custom ports were not handled during Webuzo imports. This has been fixed.

[Bug Fix] The Disable Automatic SSL setting was not working. This has been fixed.

The Webuzo Team has released Webuzo version 4.6.9, which includes several new import features, improvements, and bug fixes.


[Feature] Added reseller plans for reseller privileges.

[Task] Added an option to import cPanel IPs and assign them to users in the Admin cPanel Import utility.

[Task] NS records will now be imported during Admin cPanel imports.

[Improvement] DNS records using IPs other than the primary cPanel IP will now be replaced with the Webuzo server IP during import.

[Bug-fix] Duplicate A records were being added during Webuzo imports. This has now been fixed.

[Bug-fix] Addon domain conversion was not working. This has now been fixed.

[Bug-fix] Database user privileges were not being restored properly during Webuzo imports. This has now been fixed.

[Bug-fix] SSL certificates for addon domains were not being imported. This has now been fixed.

[Bug-fix] SVG image information was not being displayed correctly in File Manager > Get Info. This has now been fixed.

[Bug-fix] When username prefix was added in plan name the clone plan was not working. This has now been fixed.

[Security-Fix] This version fixes a security bug which could be exploited by an authenticated Webuzo user. There is no known public exploit for this. [Security-Fix] We have also launched latest versions of Exim and Nginx 15th May, 2026 which include critical security fixes. If your Webuzo apps are not set to Auto Upgrade, please manually update the same.

On cPanel, when creating addon domains, cPanel automatically creates a subfolder for that domain inside the public_html folder. This is default cPanel behaviour.

When choosing to install moodle, we have to choose a domain name we want to use with it. We obviously choose the addon domain name but not the subfolder(subdomain) itself that is created.

Softaculous should handle this step without issues so the current script is failing to handle this new version 5 setup.

However, in saying all this, your suggestion requires more information to us readers. You said "and point its Document Root to a new, empty folder outside of public_html (e.g., /home/user/newsite_files). This isolates the two installations entirely and satisfies the Moodle 5.1 requirements."

It would help if you could explain how we can set this up so that the Document Root is pointing to a folder outside of the public_html.
