 eyeOS and e107, Its 150 scripts and we are installing Operating Systems! (14 Replies, Read 33442 times)

Hi,

The Softaculous team is very happy to announce the launch of eyeOS and e107 in Softaculous. We have completed 150 scripts and are now installing an Opertaing System !

Following are the versions :
1) eyeOS -> 2.2.0.0 http://www.eyeos.org
2) e107 -> 0.7.24 http://www.e107.org

Reaching 150 scripts has been fun and we are very humbled and happy with the response our users have given us.
Softaculous 3.1 is also around the corner, so stay tuned.
Also Aefer our remote installer will soon be available.

why place something like e107 in softaculous when it is know to have serious security super-vulnerabilities.

we no longer allow this application on any of our servers because of this.

e107 has been revived and is updated constantly.
They recently released a security fix.
Also e107 is a very popular script in our survey.

well to me it is still a security risk, i did have a client using this and because of this i was forced to move servers and all my clients accounts to a new server which cost me time and some clients.

not sure as it was all removed from the server and i wont allow this on any of my servers now, too much of a risk

@easyhost you can disable e107 in Softaculous.

please note who has been referred from this post using hostname wins-pool187.sodetel.net.lb who has been open on my site for 24 hours which i assume you are a site harverster.  i will give you 1 chance to leave my site before i have your server taken down by the datacenter and your ISP remove your internet service

it was no mistake as someone referred from this post ( most likely clicked the link in my signature spent over 24 hours jumping around the pages on my website which is a clear sign of a site harverster the only details that showed them as a visitor was the hostname wins-pool187.sodetel.net.lb.  As this was where they got to mmy site i thought i would make that statement so they may read this and be aware they were being monitored and reported.

50 hrs and this personj is still listed as viewing my website.  even finding the IPs of the hostname 89.108.128.0/22 and blocking them on the server and even IP deny for the site has still not stopped this person.  the IP location is fropm Lebanon                Beirut                Sodetel S.a.l but on my site it says they are from Romania

Then you're not blocking the IP correctly. How long have you been online, a week?

Then you're not blocking the IP correctly. How long have you been online, a week?

Ive been hosting since 1999 and even the DC have blocked the IP and they still got in which suggests a proxy access, but strange as soon as posted their IP this has stopped
