Hi,

I've been using MAMP for a few years now. I want to try AMPPS, but have been struggling for almost a day to get it to work properly.
1. Apache won't start. I stopped Apache and MySQL with MAMP, then quit MAMP.

2. I would like to point AMPPS to use a different folder for document root - /Sites/Website-Dev/WP-Dev

thank you

for 1. can you open a terminal and do the following
Code

netstat -a | egrep -w "80|http"

and post the output. Also can you post the error log from Apache.

For 2 you will need to open the httpd config file which can be done by opening the AMPSS control panel and clicking on Apache on the left, then go to where it says DocumentRoot and change the path. Then restart httpd.
