 WHMCS 4.4.1 update (6 Replies, Read 12411 times)

When updating to 4.4.1 from 4.3.1 Softaculous ran without a hitch (no errors displayed) and I followed the instructions to navigate to the WHMCS folder to complete the installation for the script.

However when viewing the Admin panel the v4 theme appeared incorrectly (the left hand side menu was in the middle of the page and the main content of the page appeared below the menu)

I contacted support for WHMCS and they informed me that there had been a change to the templates and the best way to fix the error I was seeing was to manually download the 4.4.1 zip and re-upload the /whmcs/admin/templates/ folder contents and delete all files (apart from index.php) in the /whmcs/templates_c/ folder.

This solved the display error.

Thought this might be useful to someone but also potentially the Softaculous team if there's any way this can be fixed in the script.

Hi,

We are checking up with this. Right now there is one report from you sir.
Were you using a custom theme or the default theme.
Our tests didnt show any error.

Also their upgrade docs say only if there is such error you had to clear it.

There will be an update in the next 3-4 hours itself.

Hi Alons,

I installed WHMCS 4.3.1 yesterday and had made no modifications - just added some clients as I've never used WHMCS before.

However, at the end of the day I got the email saying there was an update to 4.4.1 which I ran, it completed without errors, and immediately had the problem.

In addition I've now noticed that the "invoice" button on /whmcs/admin/clientsbillableitems.php has no text.

The lines read:
-------
With Selected:
<input type="submit" name="invoice" value="">
<input type="submit" name="delete" value="Delete">
-------

Wondering if I should just delete and reinstall...

Will my database be kept?

Hi,

A fix for this was launched a few hours ago.
It will take care of the Admin Area Theme problem.
As far as the template <input> tag, Softaculous doesnt modify it in anyways.

I would suggest any such problems you are having with WHMCS you either open a ticket with MATT and the team at WHMCS or visit http://forum.whmcs.com/ where users that work with WHMCS day in and day out are always their to help

I would like to add this as a bug too with the same problems.
A few days ago I upgraded to the latest version of WHMCS via Softaculous and now in the admin area I have blank tabs, blank text on buttons and blank labels.

I can send a screen shot if this would help

[Update] In case anyone else has this problem I have managed to fix this by the following steps.

Following the advice given above sadly didn't work for me, however I replaced the entire /whmcs/admin/ folder with the latest version and it works again, so I guess there were differences in the CSS files, which don't get updated just copying across the /whmcs/admin/templates folder.

As this is only admin-area presentation files, your database remains untouched.

Hi,

Softaculous will replace the old files with the new one.
I have tested it myself and it looks to be working fine.
Do you have a screenshot ?
