Hello,

I meet a second time a problem with a new slave Xen server installed for 3 weeks.

General network for VM is down suddenly.
The second time happened last night at about the same time a customer has reinstalled his vps.

In /var/log/messages, i can observe this for all VM interfaces :
Feb  8 02:00:56 s1 dhcpd: No subnet declaration for vifv1054.0-emu (no IPv4 addresses).
Feb  8 02:00:56 s1 dhcpd: ** Ignoring requests on vifv1054.0-emu.  If this is not what
Feb  8 02:00:56 s1 dhcpd:    you want, please write a subnet declaration
Feb  8 02:00:56 s1 dhcpd:    in your dhcpd.conf file for the network segment
Feb  8 02:00:56 s1 dhcpd:    to which interface vifv1054.0-emu is attached. **

dhcpd.conf looks good.

IP, mask, gateway are alright configured in the VM at this moment.

One hour later, DHCP informs VM about network infos :
Feb  8 02:01:56 s1 dhcpd: DHCPDISCOVER from 02:00:00:0e:db:64 via viifbr0
Feb  8 02:01:56 s1 dhcpd: DHCPOFFER on 164.0.01 to 02:00:00:0e:db:64 via viifbr0

I have restarted a lot of services but nothing :
ifdown eth0 && ifup eth0
service network restart
service dhcpd restart
service ebtables restart
service iptables restart
service libvirtd restart
service libvirt-guests restart
service virtnetwork restart
service zzvirtservice restart

The only way to get network up for all VM is to reboot this server.

So, why i get this probleme and how can i fix it please ?

CentOS release 6.7 (Final)
[root@s1 ~]# uname -a
Linux s1 4.1.15-4.el6xen.x86_64 #1 SMP Tue Dec 29 20:16:34 AEDT 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Thank you

No, just wondering what and why this happend. I'm testing Virtualizor right now and struggle with the settings like IP pool, MACs and so on... and sure by creating the first test VPS got a huge error message :-)

I never used a virtualization by mysels, this is the first time I set up a virtualization software on a dedicated box. The Virtualizor support is a little bit behind because I told them I am new to this thing, but they just send me some links how to configure this and that, but it doesn't help me, if I can't see a real example.

Thank you. Yes, they fixed it (somenthing) but they didn't provide any details about the fix, steps they did etc. so I can't set up another VPS as I'm lost like before.

Hi,

Sir in my previous reply I mentioned that support staff just edited the VPS and started the VPS.
Nothing else was done on your server.

He also created a test VPS and it was created without any issue.

Are you still facing the same issue ?

Let us know.

It seems, I don't understand you right. If is something EDITED, then that means, something has been changed. Therefore I need to now WHAT WAS EDITED. For example I noticed, that previously the netmask was 255.255.255.0 (which was provided by the server data center) but they changed it to 255.255.255.0
