We start from the base that I use KVM

I am creating backups of my virtual machines. All perfect, backups are created and I keep them in my pc. So far so good. Virtualizor does its job well.

Imagine that for whatever reason, I have to migrate the server. Either the server drops, or a thousand things, for whatever reason, I decide to install another server on a new virtualization install. And I have the backup files. How to restore them ?? Where and how would I have to put them to raise those backups of the vps back on the new server?

I do not see the option of doing it in Virtualizor, can you please help me?

Thank you

Hi,
If you want to restore you backups in your new server, what you can do is:

1.) Transfer your backups to the new server from old server.
2.) On the Virtualizor Panel of the new server specify a directory for backups in the VPS Backup Settings and save it.
3.) You can check that the directory must have been created.
4.) Move the backup files in that directory.
5.) If you check the Restore Backup page you will see that there  now backups files listed for restoring.
6.) Create a vps on the new server.
7.) Now to start restoring the backup, rename the specific backup file with vpsid of the vps. Make Sure to check the ID column on the vps list page because that is what you are going to rename the backup file with.
8.) After doing this please check if the restore is successful or not.

Let us know if you still face any problems.
