Hello,

I am trying out Virtualizor on our Xenserver 6.5 environment. What i am testing is,
- 1x VM running Virtualizor Master (PV guest VM on a xenserver)
- 2x Xenserver 6.5 servers as slaves (Pooled with HA enabled and iscsi storage repository)

Now i have successfully installed Virtualizor on the Master VM and on one of the xenservers.

When i installed virtualizor on the first xenserver i used the lvg of the shared iscsi storage and this worked good.

But when i try the same command on the second xenserver i cannot install it and get the following error,

4) Installing the Virtualization Kernel - xcp
ERROR : Repository Size - Could not create Repository due to following error
ERROR :
There was an error while installing Virtualizor
Please check /root/virtualizor.log for errors
Exiting Installer

I cannot figure out,
1. How to configure shared iSCSI storage (no local disks are available in the xenservers)
2. Does Virtualizor fully depend on the HA provided by xenserver?

I hope this can be easily done so i can go ahead and buy licenses to deploy on our whole environment :)

I tried adding the iscsi lvm storage repository to the working xenserver,

vgscan
Found volume group "VG_XenStorage-280517c3-83e2-cf81-908d-494899427cf4" using metadata type lvm2

But when i try to deploy a VPS to this storage it gets stuck at 40%

Do you have any documentation on how to setup virtualizor to work with iSCSI SRs on xenserver?

Hi,

Creation logs can be monitored under /var/virtualizor/log/addvs/ directory on Master .
Please check logs for any error message .

Hi,

From the error log,
Starting Task : 2
Syncing up with Slave
Creating VPS : 1
Creation Done
Setting Root / Admin Password
Errors:

Array
(
[err_rootpass] => There was an error in setting the Root Password of the new VPS
)

But there are lots of other errors like under the "Tasks" category with Status like "There was an error in mounting the VPS LVM"

So i think theres something wrong with the iSCSI LVM storage? Can you please explain how to add an iSCSI LVM to Virtualizor (Do i need to do something different than adding the SR via xencenter and pointing virtualizor to that volume group)?

Thank you

From the storage screen shot provided I can see that there is only 17GB of free space in your VG ?

Can you check if the VPS LVM was created successfully ?
Can you please open a support ticket here https://www.softaculous.com/support/ so that we can guide you accordingly.

Yes the VG is a xenserver SR with other lvms for VM disks on it. It was a test so if required i can create a new empty SR for virtualizor storage.

I will be going away on vacation for ~2 weeks now but i will be sure to contact your support for further help. I would like to get virtualizor out in our production environment as soon as possible :)
