I created an ftp account in ampps but cannot get Filezilla to connect to it.
It's not a username or password problem.
Would someone PLEASE tell me exactly what I'm supposed to put in the HOST box.  I've run out of ideas

I've tried the numbers or IP that link to my site.... sort of like a domain name.  I've tried doing that various ways, plain, with ftp. in front.  I've tried using the directory link in my ftp acct. I've tried AMPPS.com  Couldn't they just tell you in FTP Manager what to use??

Hi,

Did you start the FTP server ?

General steps:
1. Start FTP Server
2. Add a user from Ampps Enduser Panel
3. Restart the FTP server(not required though).
4. Open Filezilla and set the host 127.0.0.1, user and password, port 21.

You can also use FileZilla's interface to manage users/server.

But can you also FTP from a different computer on the same network?

Well, then what might be my issue? I'm able to connect locally with Cyberduck using localhost but not from any of my classroom computers. I've tried both IP address and computer name but noting works.

I thought FTP would connect me directly to the Ampps host files. Do I need to turn on File Sharing in Sys Prefs?
