 Softaculous Top Apps missing from cpanel after each WHM update (4 Replies, Read 3320 times)

This issue has been for a while since cpanel released the Paper_lantern theme. Each time, when there's a WHM update, the Softaculous Top Apps category will be missing from cpanel. I have to login to WHM -> Plugins -> Softaculous ->
Settings -> Select Top Scripts and save the scripts to
generate the files again to get the problem fix. I have this issue on all cpanel servers including CentOS 5, 6, cloudlinux 6. Is anyone else having this issue?

Hi,

Softaculous Top Apps details is stored in index.html file. When cPanel release the new update this file is overwritten by their new file. Hence you face this issue.

Can you please try to execute the cron command on your server and see if you still face the issue ?
/usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/bin/php /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi/softaculous/cron.php

Thanks for your reply. I don't think run this cron command can fix the issue since this cron command runs every day.


# cat /etc/cron.d/softaculous
47 23 * * * root /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/bin/php /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi/softaculous/cron.php >> /dev/null 2>&1

OK. I understand what you say now. The softaculous cron job did fix the Top Apps issue.
