a Proprietory but FREE license that is not OPEN SOURCE!

Outch, what a pain to read this. If it's not open source, then it's NOT FREE. Please do not write such thing, this is confusing everyone. ANYONE working with open source, being a Debian maintainer, having relations with GNU, or anything like this will be horrified by what I just quoted. In fact, it IS a bit shocking.

Free, for a license, talks about freedom, not about the fact that it's Free of charge (in other words: that you give the software without requesting any sort of (monetary) compensation). So you do NOT have a "free license" at all. Your license if far from being free, it's rather very restrictive. A license NEVER talks about the price of the product, but what a user can or can't do with the (purchased?) product. We say that the license of a product is "free" when the user can do almost anything.

Now about the word "open source". Your product, if I understand it well, make the source code available to anyone (with the restriction that nobody can change it). In this case, this IS open source. You have opened your source code to anyone, even if nobody can change it. This reminds me the kind of open source license done my Microsoft in fact.

Just to make it very clear and to be sure everybody understands: I'm not discussing any of your decisions above, just making word definitions as it seems very unclear in your mind. These word definitions are VERY important, especially when talking about licensing, as this is a lawyer thing. What concerns my feeling is below.

I feel it's a shame to give a product without any monetary compensation
and source code open, but yet not making it free. What's the point of
disclosing all of your code, but not making it possible to modify it?

All this being said, I'd be happy to help the integration in our control panel still, but as I can't do it myself because of your license, the only thing I can do to help the integration is answer questions about our panel... which I'd be very happy to do. Get in touch with me! My IDs are here: http://www.gplhost.com/gplhost-contact.html (care: these are NOT email addresses).

I am sorry about the wrong words I have used.
As such I will look into it and draft a proper and Modified License.
We will get in touch with you and integrate it into DTC.

Regards,
Alons

Dear alons,

Please do not forget about integration with this great control panel as it is included in debian and it is the leader in this field for the open source world.

Just wanted to say that. Integration with DTC can't be missing!

Thanks a bunch for a great product.

I always said that I would help, and replied multiple times to emails from Softaculous. So not, it doesn't depend on GPLHost.
