 bug on script phplist, problem with installation on folder (8 Replies, Read 10575 times)

Hi,
I install the software phplist on a domain, and configuration files are bad :

So I install it on folder /folder
=> the script is well installed on this folder http://site/folder/

But configuration file take this address :
http://site/folder/folder/

Its working fine on our servers as well as on our beta testers servers.
On installation it will give you a admin directory link as well. Are you thinking that as a second directory ?

I've also found a couple of bugs with the Softaculous v2.2 install of PHPList:

Bug #1

When using PHPsuExec a php.ini needs to be created with the line.

magic_quotes_gpc = 1

And this line in .htaccess commented out.

php_flag magic_quotes_gpc on

Bug #2

In a install to a directory the admin section does not work correctly and results in URLs like this:

http://domain.com/dir/dir/admin/

Which causes a 404 error.

This is because in the pl_config table for the PHPList database the record 'website' is set as 'domain.com/dir' by the installer.

This needs to be modified to use just 'domain.com' which will then remove the double directory, 404 error.

Hi,

We cant seem to get which link is getting populated wrongly.
All the links are proper.
You can even check our demo site:
http://demos.softaculous.com/phpList/

Its installed in a directory and the links are just fine.
Please point out which links are wrong ?

Thanks alons.

The same 'double directory' fault is in your demo phpList.

If you login to the admin area at http://demos.softaculous.com/phpList/admin and click the 'send a message' link on the menu in the right you'll see the bug.

If you apply the fix I suggested then phpList will work correctly.
