Topic : Resurrect old Joomla 2.5 site with Akeeba Backup

Posted By: williwild on April 12, 2012, 1:43 pm
greetings,
I am trying to install an old Akeeba back-up to AMPPS. To resurrect an old site that is no longer an active domain.

Akeeba requires that I upload the back up files and an extraction file to the DB files. I normally do this via C-Panel file manager or FTP.

I have either forgotten the FTP password or never set one up when I installed AMPPS and the default pass "mysql" does not work.

My question is, is there a place where I can view the files in the DB such as with a C-Panel file manager? I normally use the upload file function of C-Panel file manager and all is well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Do you want to access the files on your webserver ?
You can do that by going to the following path in your Explorer :
PATH/TO/AMPPS/www/

Feel free to contact us if you need any further information.
