Now that Magento 2 has officially been released as the stable platform (It has been available for a while just not their primary release). I was wondering if there is any plans for AMPPS to get Magento 2 as an install option. I know it is built on Composer and such but seeing Softaculous made Laravel 5 work after a bit of work, I would be stoked to have Magento 2 locally and use the AMPPS tools like backup and Crontab.

Thanks!

Hi,

We have launched Magento 2.0.0:
http://ampps.com/apps/ecommerce/Magento

Please execute the CRON command to get the package immediately :

Hey nikhil89,

Thanks for your response and yes I now see that Magento 2 is available on the website but in my AMPPS control panel under Magento I still only see 1.9.2.2, 1.7.0.2, 1.8.1.0. I am on Mac AMPPS version 3.3 which when I attempt to update it says is up to date. Do you know why it would not show up in my AMPPS console?

Thanks!

Never mind I went into the AMPPS Admin panel and ran update in the generic scripts section which gave me access to Magento 2.

Thanks!

Hello!

I tried to configure latest Ampps in MacOSX for magento 2 but I found:

automated script:
press install and after 3% page turns blank. No error message or anything installed

Manually install returns doesn't match Magento 2 requisites:
- php version (this is odd since I've configured to 5.6)
- always_populate_raw_post_data conflict: SOLVED (turned it to -1)
- php modules: mhash and simplexml are missing

Thank you!
