Hello dear friends, I am newbie here on the forum and have come due to lack of information on available documentation.

My problems are:
1 - How to create a custom script, including the configuration part of the script itself?
The documentation teaches only Softaculous side, but does not explain what to do with the settings of the system being installed. As Wordpress is configured for example? he guesses? :neu:   As the config.php file is created? This does not explain there, or here on the forum.

2 - Here in the forum for all questions about it, there was talk about sending the package to the folder Softaculous ... this is the only way to use the automatic installation of a custom script?
I use a server reseller, I have access to that folder, I still have chance to use self installing my custom script by uploading the package to another place?

Sorry for my English, I'm using Google

Att,
Marcio

Hi,

We are improving our documentation on making the package.
The answer to your question:
Compare the package after installing it on your server manually and the original package that you downloaded, now check the configuration files that are created after installation and place them in the Softaculous package and in the install.php in the package configure the extra files using the '__configure' function that the software needs.

In the configuration files that you just placed in the Softaculous package replace the dynamic variables within the [[]] tags and the variables can be defined in the install.php in the $__settings() array.

You can refer the the following page for more information on how to make the package:
http://softaculous.com/docs/How_to_make_a_Package

Feel free to contact us if you need any further information.

Dear Brijesh,
Thanks for the prompt response!

And on the folder to which I send the package? What folder should I keep my package? Can I add the package to a folder other than the standard Softaculous, for example "home / packages"?

Is there a package available for download created where I can download and make appropriate comparisons?
With a complete package is easier to understand and learn!

Hi,

You will have to upload the packages at /var/softaculous/ because all the other scripts are placed there only.

You can access the packages form the /var/softaculous/ but few files like install.php and upgrade.php are encrypted.
You can download the sample package here:
