Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 1 Status:	Hi, I've just installed ampps. When i try to login using: http://localhost/ampps/index.php?act=login http://localhost/ampps-admin/index.php?act=login it asks for a password for user soft/root a) what is the password for these, as i dont remember setting a password, b) or how do i go about changing/setting a new password (for both).??

You can disable the password by just deleting the following file: path/to/AMPPS/ampps/data/passwd Delete the passwd file and then you will not be prompted to enter the password.
