Hi,
Quote I just want to confirm something.
If I create a VPS with raw filesystem and specify the drive to be about 500gb. Will the raw file take up 500gb on the host server or will it only take up the amount of space used by the VPS itself. So if I run df -h it will show drive size as 500GB and used space 50gb and available 450gb. Would this raw image file be 500gb in size on the host server or will it actually be 50gb and grow as data is added onto the vps? It will consume only the space occupied by the data inside the VPS, for example if the VPS size is 500GB and the data inside the VPS is of 50GB, then .raw file will consume only 50GB and will grow as the data will be added to the VPS. ----------------------- Regards, Virtualizor Team http://www.virtualizor.com |

Quote I think my virtualizor is faulty then. I have a 700gb raw file but the actual data used in the vps is only 300gb. How can I fix this so that the raw file will be 300gb May I know how are you checking the disk size ? Can you execute "du -sh <path-to-disk/disk.raw>" and "qemu-img info <path-to-disk/disk.raw>"and provide us the output ? ----------------------- Regards, Virtualizor Team http://www.virtualizor.com |

No. The vps was created and always been on this server. |

We were not able to reproduce it at our end. May I know what is the Host and the Guest OS chosen ? ----------------------- Regards, Virtualizor Team http://www.virtualizor.com |
