Note: It says it is "still in development" but it is more than production quality.

P.S.: The link restriction is annoying. You'd think it would be enabled in this particular forum. :-( ]]>

<![CDATA[New local site not working]]> http://www.softaculous.com/board/index.php?tid=7796&tpg=1#p26967
For some reason I can access the home page of my local dev site but any post or category I try to link to simply gives me a "does not exist" error.

On my desktop I noticed that when you click the blue web button to access "local web" that my sites show up, but do not on my laptop. All that shows up is cgi-bin folder.

Any ideas why either of these issues may occure?

<![CDATA[No warning when database backup fails]]> http://www.softaculous.com/board/index.php?tid=7794&tpg=1#p26964
I've just noticed that when doing a script upgrade and selecting the option to make a backup, Softaculous doesn't warn you if the database details that are saved in Softaculous are incorrect. It simply generates an SQL file with no data in it.

I see there's a warning when doing a manual backup and the database information is incorrect, so there should also be a warning when doing a backup before an upgrade.

You can use adding plugins if you just want to add a plugin because in this scenario you will not need to maintain the updates for custom WordPress package and the updates for WordPress package in Softaculous will work for you.

If you create a custom WordPress package you will need to manually update the package when there is a new version of WordPress.

Custom WordPress package is recommended if you want to highly modify the package i.e. install plugins/themes add some content, etc]]>
