Hello,

I have downloaded the latest version of AMPPS, with MySQL version 5.6.30, which works fine on the localhost of my laptop. However when I try to migrate the database to the remote server (of one.com) I run into troubles with error message that is caused because the remote server runs with MySQL 5.5

Is there a way to download an older version of AMPPS that also runs with MySQL 5.5 and if so, which I sincerely hope, where can I download it?

Thanks in advance for your reactions.

Regards,
Robert

Hi,

You can add MySQL 5.5 in current version you do not need to install older version for MySQL 5.5.

Go to Ampps folder and rename mysql to _mysql

Download MySQL 5.5 from Ampps server.
http://files.ampps.com/apps/mysql/mysql-5.5.zip

Extract and copy it in Ampps folder.

Rename it to mysql.

Now Open AMPPS Control Panel --> MySQL Settings --> Click on Restore Default Configuration Button.

Start MySQL.

link is back up

it seems to be working
mysql wouldn't start at the beginning, so I just copied the libmysqlclient it was telling me on amps admin it couldn't find, from mysql56 to the new (old) mysql55.

Don't know if this is the right procedure, I bet it ain't, but it seems to be working
