I can't find this anywhere so I presume it wasn't suggested. What I'd like is the ability to upgrade scripts directly from the Softaculous Installer interface, from WHM, when I'm logged in as root or as a reseller.
This way I don't need to log in to each account to upgrade my clients' accounts.
Currently, you have a "list all outdated installations".
Possibly add a checkbox to all outdates and a button "Upgrade installs" ?

While I can understand the reasoning behind it, I urge the Original Poster to use caution upgrading scripts on behalf of a client - especially if they don't know about it.

Many scripts' newer versions can break 3rd party modules, or templates or overwrite the users custom code.  A blanket upgrade is very VERY dangerous and can cause you backlash at the end of the day.

Nice idea, but just be careful if you were to ever execute something like this.

Thanks for the concern, but I`m running a pretty private company ( sort of ), and some people are on maintenance plans and understand the risks or requirements of such an operation :)
You can understand, when having 10-20-etc sites to upgrade, even logging in and clicking, backing up, upgrading takes alot of time ... :)

Oh I know how that goes!  I don't envy you at all!

I think the addition would be nice, just an extra warning on the page so people don't go crazy doing updates for people.  Many new hosting resellers think they are doing their customers a favor, when really they create a nightmare.

Yes, this feature is a must!

We understand what upgrades can do, but we already do global upgrades for customers who ignore the notices. We currently us Installatron which has this feature. It would be nice if Softaculous had this feature too.

We currently do the upgrades from within WHM > Installatron. We just select the old installs and click Upgrade. It then brings us through the process of backing up (we can select which files and MySQL tables to backup) and doing the upgrade for each.

It is absolutely necessary to keep most of the scripts you offer up-to-date to protect the security of the servers. We have found that doing the global upgrades for our customers reduces the changes of their sites getting hacked.

Hi,

We will add the support for this feature.
We will also add a backup warning before doing this.

Not at the moment.
We are looking at the technical aspects first.
Its in our todo list and once 3.1 is done we will look into it.
