Hi,

A php application server like Zend Server bring strong capabilities both for developers and for cluster administration (app deployment, maintain application...). Covering Zend server features scope would be challenging but focusing on some specific areas is possible.

Particularly, what is your plan about handling :
- Automate deployment process to handle iterative app development
- Ensure high availability with seamless application failover

Automating orchestration of these represent a huge step forward for admins.
About deployment, do you plan an in house solution or make use of an existing software ? Just to name a few even if some are overkill :

- ControlTier, RunDeck and Pallet in the java world
- Kwatee and Fabric in the python world
- Capistrano, Vlad and Passenger in Ruby world
- the well known Puppet, CFEngine and Chef available for multiple platforms.

This would be a huge step for developers and admins, did you analyse this approach and choose a way to handle it with or without the resources i provided ?

Plans are yet evolving.
We will surely review in all aspects and implement this.
However, there is no ETA for the same.
