Hello,

I am not quite sure which license I need to use the product.  I currently have one physical server running CPanel via a Hyper-V so its classed as a VPS I think.  Do I need to go for:

Lifetime Dedicated Server License
or
Lifetime VPS Server License

I cant see the difference.  Maybe if I get a dedicated server license that means I can run several Virtual CPanel WHM's on it?

Thanks

Hi,

If its a VPS then you should buy a VPS license.
But if you buy a Lifetime License it WOULDNT entitle you to run Softaculous on multiple VPS.

Hi,

1) If you buy a Dedicated Server License, you cant run Softaculous on multiple VPS.

2) A dedicated server license is for a Dedicated Server running cPanel. A VPS license is HALF the price of the Dedicated server license, but it can run only on ONE VPS.

If you need to install Softaculous on Multiple VPS then you will need to buy multiple VPS license(s), in which case I would recommend you become a NOC as NOCs get further discounts.

Hiya,

Well I only have 1 Cpanel WHM license / server at the moment running under hyper-V so going by what you have said this makes it a VPS license that I would require.  A lifetime VPS license would cover me for all my clients on that one virtual cpanel installation.  If you can confirm this then I will get the VPS license bought.

Many Thanks

Yes, you buy any VPS license, will cover all your cPanel accounts on that VPS server.

I am having the opposite problem. Trying to buy a dedicated license to use on multiple cpanel accounts with my dedicated server. But the purchase screen is prompting me to buy VPS for my dedicated server. What do I do?

Hi,

Please go to the Softaculous admin panel -> Settings page and uncheck the "Is VPS" checkbox and click on "Edit Settings" button.

This should resolve your issue.
