What is the best way to get the intl extension working with php 5.4.11 in OSX  & AMPPS?

The tutorials I'm finding are for MAMP or Liip versions.

pecl.php.net/package/intl

Hi,

You will have to compile the extension from the source available here pecl.php.net/package/intl.

For that you must install Xcode.

After installing xcode you should be able to build the extension from source.

BTW, Check the requirement page too
http://www.php.net/manual/en/intl.requirements.php
Quote
To build the extension you need to install the » ICU library of version 3.6+.

Yes, i installed other stack solution wich includes intl extension compiled:

http://bitnami.com/stack/mamp

It is not as easy as AMMPS but at least has the intl extension.

That is a shame I really like AMMPS

I think I am going to just going to configure apache manually as this has caused me plenty of headache.

I could update a local version of PHP just fine, but getting this to work with the AMPPS version of php was not possible.

Thanks
