Hi everyone,
I'm currently moving from a Mac back to a PC, and I have a bunch of local dev sites I need to migrate. I have copied my www dir and my vhosts file as well as my mysql databases and put them in place on the PC, but AMPPS does not show any of my sites and I cannot access them via browser. What am I missing?

I noticed that if I add a new domain to AMPPS, it wipes out my vhosts file and only lists the new domain, so it's apparently keeping track somewhere else that I am not aware of. How can I get these sites to work after moving them from the Mac?

Ok, so I found an article explaining how to backup and restore wordpress sites, but it appears a bit outdated as the backup file locations it refers to do not exist. To get around that, I created a dummy site and made a backup of it, then found that backup on my system. Then I took backups from the Mac and moved them into that location on the PC, but the Ampps backup page only shows the dummy backup I made. How in the hell do I do this? It seems that every thing I try just doesn't work with Ampps. I mean, what good is a backup system if you can't restore it?

First follow this guide to take backup of your installation.
https://www.softaculous.com/docs/How_to_Backup_an_Installation

Your backups are created in \path\to\Ampps\private\softaculous_backups\ folder

Copy following files on your new computer on same path.

\path\to\Ampps\private\softaculous_backups\backup_file_name.tar.gz

\path\to\Ampps\private\.softaculous\backups\backup_file_name

Now follow this guide to restore your backup.
