I'm hoping it stays ad free. I'm supporting them by purchasing licenses and asking my dedicated server clients to do the same thing. All off my web hosting servers will be Fantastico-less in about a month. Fantastico was great, but Softaculous just blew them away. Keep it up, guys!

If you offer a great service with great uptime, then i can guarantee your clients will not stray elsewhere, why would they want the hassle if you offer a great and reliable service.
If clients do stray then all i can say, take a look at your service and uptime as something is wrong when clients start leaving.

So my point is ads should not bother anyone and they dont bother me, alons and the tean need to make money to keep softaculous running up to date.

Hi,

I find that putting ads on softaculous website is a bad thing.
Why ? You show your customer the demos of Softaculous on your website and they see ads... They can find an other host on your website ... That's something bad, I find. What do you think ?

I understand that you would like to add some ads for this great software, but then it could be interesting for us to have an other website without ads to show the clients the demo and reviews ...

Since I'm brand new here today I have no idea how far the concept of ads on Softaculous pages may be going.

However, this is important to me:

If there are ads on any sites we would link to automatically simply because we've installed the Softaculous plugin, and if we cannot easily determine and disable these links without fundamentally changing our ability to offer Softaculous scripts to our clients, then we won't use Softaculous.

How do we feel about seeing adverts on your free system?  Simply keep in mind that we're going to be offering your free system on at least one of our servers to help us decide if we want to buy the pay version or not.  So again, the adverts are unacceptable.

I know you need to make money.  Point our clients to your ads is simply not one of the ways we'll let you do that.

Jeff

Hi,

This is really a OLD topic.
It was a concept when Softaculous was 100% FREE.
Also the ads WERE up only for 3 days and that TOO on SOftaculous.com and not in Softaculous itself.

There will be NO ADS in Softaculous.
