Running Centos  6.5 64 bit with Interworx. Some reason if I try to import in Interworx a Word Press that is already installed and working on the siteworx account. I get this error

The following errors were found :

  • The MySQL Username or Password or Database host is wrong as a connection could not be established.
The user name and password are set correct for the DB ?!?! Is this some permission issue allowing Interworx to connect to the mysql DB or something? ANymore information you need please let me know

Hi,

It looks like you are trying to edit an installation that already exists in Softaculous, because this error string is in the edit installation page.

If you want to import an installation that is not available in Softaculous records please use the following guide :

The instructions you provided is how I originally imported the installation. When I knew something was nto quite right was when I tried to fully back it up. I get a similar error

The following errors were found :

  • Could not connect to database, please check the Username/Password of your database. If changed, please update the details in Softaculous installations using Edit Details.
the username and password has been checked they are correct. You have any idea what is blocking interworx from being able to read the mysql DB?

I think I already tried that, but I will double check. If it does not work I will open a ticket as you suggest.

Ok, strange it had for default setting localhost in their for the location of the DB . changing it to 127.0.0.1 (which is what id assume localhost should be.) Made it work. Wondering why its not recognizing  the default.

Hi,

Some Interworx servers do not point localhost to 127.0.0.1 by default.

I am not sure but I think you need to make some changes on your server to have localhost point to 127.0.0.1

Let us know if you face any issues.
