Hi I am new to Ampps and Linux.  I need to develop a Drupal site in localhost and therefore I need to create and edit files. I usually use Aptana to create a project and from there develop the site.
Aptana can not create or edit files because the owner of the files and folders is the user ampps. If I change the owner to jpc (my user) the site does not work. I can not simply change folder and files permissions to 777 because it would become a security issue of the site.

What would be way to have Ampps and any IDE working without changing permissions structure?

Using:
Linux Mint 17, Ampps 3.3, Aptana or Netbeans

Thanks
