Greetings,

I am a little confuse on how to setup an ftp account. When i create an ftp account the username will show up in the public_html folder.  Is this how ftp works with VPS hosting?

Hi,
you can create account and decide if give access to the full public_html directory or you can decide to give access only to one directory but set different patch.

Hope it helps

Okay, i assign the public_html folder for the ftp user....... I even uploaded a file to the public_html folder using ftp........  and this is what i end up with .......... /public_html/public_html/ .

and the file i uploaded is in the second public_html folder.......... so i have to move the file out of the second public_html folder to the first one for it to work.

You have created a folder same antoher? Or Maybe you have put in Webuzo wrong patch so Webuzo have created that duplicate folder. The first one is the one who works for your website, the second you can reach with your websiteurl/public_html/ maybe if this folder was created for error should be empty from all file and removed.

Okay, i think i got it now.  I have two folders that is holding the same files one is public_html and the other is www ........ when i assign public_html as access for ftp user i will get a duplicate but when i assign www as the folder for ftp user everything works great.

and i can access the files from any one of the two folders which is public_html or www .

Maybe the right folder for ftp use is www  as www and public_html holds the same files as duplicate for each other.
