Hello,

I am on version 1.7 latest and my hosts file is not automatically updated on add or delete. There are two things I wanted to know:

1. Does there need to be special permissions for a certain user on the hosts file, ampps never asked for admin access.

2. Does there need to be a line in the hosts file that ampps will add content under, or perhaps a section?

Thanks

As a tad bid of relevant information I set the hosts file to Users temporarily so Ampps could write to it.

It appears that Ampps writes to the last line of the file, regardless if its empty. Perhaps someone needs to take a look at that functionality (I believe powered by PHP) to ensure that it creates an empty line then puts the proper contents.

Thanks

Hi,

Which OS are you using ?

Sir are your domains working properly after the addition of entries in host file?

Also did you recently installed AMPPS 1.7 Binary version from our download site ?

OR

It just updated automatically ?

Note: The one updated automatically is Softaculous version in AMPPS and not the Binary version.
