I've had a working Softaculous install for a long time, installed multiple applications without a problem for years. However in the last few days whenever I use the form for any application I get "The MySQL Connection could not be established."

I haven't changed any passwords, I've made the DB name as small as possible per other suggestions over username length, the users appear to being created, the directory appears to be created yet the installations all fail with this error.

Running Centos 6.6 / CPanel / WHM. Any help would be appreciated.

It also appears that an empty database is actually being created which would suggest that a connection has been properly established.
