Hi, guys.

I am working on a few sites locally using AMPPS.  Yesterday, everything was working great.  I started my mac this morning and went to fire up AMPPS and only Apache would run (mysql would not).  I came across a solution to set innodb_force_recovery = 1 in the my.cnf file, which worked (I was then allowed to connect to mysql).  I removed this line from the my.cnf file and resaved it and that is all great.

BUT...

Of my three databases, only one of them actually works.  The table names appear within all three databases; however, within the two broken databases, if I click a table, there is no data and I receive an error that the table does not exist.  When I look in the /ampps/var/ folder on my mac, I see the database folders for all three databases.  The only difference I can see from the database that is working and the two that are not is that the one that is working has frm, MYD and MYI file types whereas the two broken databases only have frm and ibd.  I have no idea what happened as it was working great yesterday and I did not change anything from my using ampps yesterday to today (I did notice a release for ampps today, are those updates automatic? if so, could that be it?).

Would love any help you can provide on how I can restore my two broken databases, thank you!

I've got a similar issue. I was working on a local site build on dreamweaver I clicked on the "Preview in Safari" button...suddenly I had no connection to mysql. Apache is working fine, but no connection to mysql?

Not sure what happened. I've tried all the regular tricks: shut down & restart, default configuration reset for apache and mysql. myPHPadmin isn't connecting.

I opened a ticket, but I thought I'd keep searching to see if someone else found the solution.

Using maverick OS X 10.9.1

Stranded without a paddle :(

Hi,

Please always take a backup of your database so you can restore the database when it gets corrupted.

If you can let us know how to regenerate the issue or what is crashing the database. We can find a way to prevent this.

Site error: the file /Applications/AMPPS/ampps/softaculous/enduser/inc.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_dar_5.3.so to be installed by the website operator. If you are the website operator please use the ionCube Loader Wizard to assist with installation.

This is what happened yesterday. So it is not unique. Happened yesterday afternoon for no reason whatsoever.

Any clues as to what this ioncube thing is. Dont like downloading stuff unless I know it is linked to softaculous
