Using both Ubuntu 14.04 and 14.1 --

I had a few issues, one which was my mistake, trying to use the  i386 version on my  amd64 14.1 didn't fail so much as simply look corrupted, it seems to me the install script should at least look for a supported O/S ?!

Next, Apache was refusing to start, I found a tip to run this command
sudo ./httpd -k start
and found the message
>> ./httpd: error while loading shared libraries: libexpat.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Seems to be that Apache is looking for an non existent library file so I created symbolic link
$ sudo ln -sv libexpat.so.1.6.0 libexpat.so.0
which seems to have worked

After this I got
>>httpd: Syntax error on line 570 of /usr/local/ampps/apache/conf/httpd.conf: Could not open configuration file /usr/local/ampps/python/python.conf: No such file or directory

I probably don't need python so I commented out the entry for now in the httpd config, but would like some idea how to create the config file - and I want to ask.. was this ever tested?

My ubuntu installs were brand new VMs.. there are no pre-reqs or tips published for AMPPS on Ubuntu... its as if it all works but it looks rather like it was never tested.
