 Word Press Site zip.file Export & Import Failing While Trying to Transfer to ampps, I am running into difficulties while trying to export a site (1 Replies, Read 2096 times)

Does anyone have a best tool they use to package and transfer a web-based Word Press Site to a local based site on ampps?  I have used the Snapshot Plugin and also the all-in-one site transfer tool but they both have been failing on my for multiple reasons.  Just looking for suggestions.

Hi,

You can manually ZIP the files from your source server and download the ZIP file and unzip it on your local AMPPS installation path.

You will also need to export the database from your source server and import the database on your local server via phpMyAdmin. Before importing the database you will need to replace all the instances of your old installation URL eg "http://example.com" with your local WordPress installation URL.

Please confirm the database details in wp-config.php as well.
