Hello, When i try to install some packages, i get a timeout error after a few seconds."Ooops....the connection was lost.." Seems like it is education installations, like Moodle and DoceBo that gives this error. Anyone?

Hi,

This error occurs when you leave the page before the installation is complete.
The package of Moodle and Docebo are big hence it takes time to finish the installation.

This can also be due to poor network connection.
You may open a support ticket and we will look into this.

Hi,

We have made a test install and it worked fine. It seems that you are facing this issue due to poor internet connection.

Hi there!

My upgrade of CMS Made Simple was interrupted because I left the page... Didn't see that warning :(

I had "Make back-up" checked. And I think it was all interrupted while at "74% of Checking Retrieved Files" or something like that. Was it interrupted while making the backup? How could an interrupted upgrade harm my installation? Is it messing around with my php databases or just the files on the ftp? If the second is correct, probably it is a good idea to upload the exact copy of my old installation to the ftp?

PS.
I should add:
The upgrade button disappeared and it is stated that I now have version 1.11.5, which is the one I wanted. Everything about the site seems to work and the CMSMS backend says it's running verison 1.11.5 too. So far so good. Do you think everything went ok?

The only thing i notice is a small graphical shift in the layout of my site's menu: a hoover effect that is slightly out of place, just a few pixels. Does that sound weird?

Also: all the information under System Information and System Maintenance in the CMSMS backend looks good.

"No structural errors were detected in the database."
"No content errors detected."
"Current PHP Version (phpversion)      5.3.18"
etc etc.

Seems like the upgrade was interrupted at the end while just making a verification? Phew. Sorry for spamming this board, but it all made me nervous... And maybe this experience can help someone else later one :) I would really appreciate an answer to the question about what is upgraded: php databases or just ftp files?

Hi,

The install, upgrade and backup page goes in background if the user leaves the page, hence your upgrade should have worked fine. However we recommend you do not leave the page unless the process is completed.

Please try Ctrl + F5 it might resolve this as well.
