Does your domain "http://www.mydomain.com/ " point to your primary domain i.e. "http://mydomain.com/" ?

If no then you will have to add an A record to point to the same IP as your domain (without www) is pointing. I'm not going to use Webuzo to manage the actual DNS (I don't have control over the authoritative DNS so I can't) so for my case this is a bit unintuitive. I have installed the WP multisite using Softaculous, added a new site and in Domain Mapping set the Primary to http: // www. mydomain.com/

I would like to use the www for various reasons. When i go try to go to the url it says server not found. I have tried to search on the forum but with so many word variables have not yet found a related post.

On the Domain Mapping page it says

If your domain name includes a hostname like "www", "blog" or some other prefix before the actual domain name you will need to add a CNAME for that hostname in your DNS pointing at this blog URL.

If you want to redirect a domain you will need to add a DNS "A" record pointing at the IP address of this server: xxxxxxx

Note: International Domain Names should be in punycode format.
Is there a post(s) or link that explains what this is about and what i need to do or could someone give me advice?

You can add sub domains as usual and further edit the IP from the Advanced Zone Settings.
