Backup from phpMyAdmin or mysqldump is recommended i.e .sql format.

You can follow this article to fix your database, we have never tried though:

<![CDATA[MySQL not starting up]]> ]]> Wed, 20 Aug 2014 20:13:56 GMT <![CDATA[MySQL not starting up]]>
After this I started MySQL and it worked. But then I noticed that 1 of my databases tables were not there any longer. So, I just restored the deleted files immediately. Now I am back to MySQL not starting.

My log shows "Innodb: Cannot open table swmandrill/participants from the internal data dictionary of InnoDB though the .frm file for the table exists." It shows this for error for every table inside that database.

My logfile:

How can I get these tables back and get MySQL running. Thanks for your time.

I have an issue after updating ampps. I made a backup of my www and mysql directory. And just copy and paste into fresh install. Unfortunatelly after that proccess i cannot access my db's. I see them in phpmyadmin but after clicking each table i got error table not found. Of course i have all frm and idb files.. Is there any way to recover that dB?]]>

Sorry I edited my previous post. HTML5 is not dependent on Web Server.

>> it just download the .php file

Restore the Default Configuration of Apache and Restart the server.

Please open a ticket if you are still facing the issue.
