Softaculous

Topic : bug in plan assignment

Hello,

I tried to use Softaculous in combination with Plesk. First of all I wanted to disable all software so that I could enable some installations for selected users only. To achieve this I created a plan "default" which covers all service plans created in Plesk and gave them no rights on any software. First this seems to be working fine, but than I noticed that several users are still allowed to install any software. After some testing I found the reason for this behavior: If a user has in addition to his regular service plan a service plan add-on (e.g. to give him additional webspace) the Softaculous plan does not cover this user any more and the user has access to all software installations.

Could you please check this and give me a hint how to solve this problem?

Hi,

Sir you are right that we have missed the addon plan. We have added this and it should be available in the next version.
Also regarding the above situation can you please open a support ticket with the steps to reproduce the above situation.

For the default plan I found the problem on my site: I simply named the plan "default" and not as explained "softaculous_default". I should read the notes more carefully ;-)
