Hello,

I am starting to use webuzo and it is very nice but I wonder how can I
get more security in here. I am a newbie in these stuff and I was using a
shared hosting and now I am in a VPS. I read everywhere stuff about ssh
security. I am assuming that webuzo uses ssh when installing apps,
databases, changing stuff. So i have some questions:

- Is it posible to edit ssh settings like disable root access, use rsa
keys to autheticate, restrict the ip to access ssh? Or can I do it
directly in ssh without affecting webuzo?

- Is it posible to use rsa keys to acces the webuzo panel and limit it to some ips?

Do you have any suggestion on security?

Thanks a lot

Hi and welcome.
I AM an user of Webuzo since 3 years maybe and as you I moved to a VPS managed by Webuzo control panel for the first time.

Security is soo important to me, that is why I asked to implement many feature and someone has been implemented like login log to your panel.

In webuzo you have option to turn off the SSH, you can see in the demo http://demo.webuzo.com/ (press end user panel on top) than SSH icon.

Also System Apps Update has been added so you are informed when a new script or Webuzo component is to update. Now I suggest to Webuzo team to keep the email notification on by default but maybe is not set on on by Default so you can ask at Webuzo support how to activate email notification for be alerted when an update is available.

In email there are some issue like for now there is NO ANTISPAM and NO ANTIVIRUS, also configure a valid certificate for email for use correctly SMTP and have security on email can take a lot of work but you can learn as I have learned but take some time.

I think Webuzo is good for security, is a good panel so I can suggest to you and give the welcome!
I still using Webuzo panel and the support are great! They are very kind and available maybe less available on the forum where replies can take some more time ... but I try to help on my free time also in the forum.

Regarding limiting IP I do not know I do not use this. If you are a Premium user of Webuzo you can install the firewall CSF just with one click than you need learn how to configure.

I do not have other suggestion as security. I think all is good here and Webuzo is a good panel should only add Antivirus, Antispam and give a solution maybe, if possible, for made more easy email configuration with SSL, a trust certificate maybe let's Encrypt.

Webuzo support now also let's encrypt certificate.

Welcome on board.
