 Installing AMPPS-5.6.1 on MacOSX 10.8.5. Help, please? (1 Replies, Read 1755 times)

I recently downloaded AMPPS-5.6.1 on MacOSX 10.8.5.
and want to use it to install and  learn Wordpress.

Has been warned that AMPPS could be tricky for a non techie novice like me

and before installing it I need some guidance,please.

Here are my  questions:

1.  Found different Installation instructions in different sources, for example, one of them tells that I have to install a program called Magento too.
So, what is the latest correct instruction about proper installing AMPPS-5.6.1 on MacOSX 10.8.5.

2. Just in case - how a full uninstall of AMPPS is done on Mac?

Hi,

To install Wordpress please follow this guide: http://www.ampps.com/wiki/Install_a_Script

1.No need to install Magento if you do not require. To install Ampps in Mac OS. Double click on .dmg file then simply move(Drag) AMPPS to Application folder.

2.To Uninstall AMPPS in Mac OS, go to Applications, right click on AMPPS folder and select Move to Trash option.
