Hi,
I got
"Parse error:  syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /tmp/cpanel_phpengine.1245991369.1335SK874PaI6M on line 214" after I updated the install of softaculous. I removed it and reinstalled it and I still get the error.

Any advice?

Means after updating to 1.5 this error showed up
OR
it showed up when installing softaculous for the first time.

Which version of cPanel are you running ?

Hi,
It did it after updating to version 1.5 We are now running 11.24.4-CURRENT_36167 It was broken before we updated cPanel to the current build last night so it can't of been the update.

As soon as the update of softaculous from 1.4 -> 1.5 had finished it errored..

I tried a fresh install and it sill has the same errors.

Sir could you please check ionCube is working properly.
Also have you changed any PHP/Apache settings recently

Hi,
ionCube Is working fine (All other ionCube apps are working and PHPINFO reports it as installed) There have been no changes to php recently. The only change to apache was the client limit changed to be higher. That was only changed today and the software has been erroring for a few days now.

Hi,
The cron is also dumping
/bin/sh: line 1:  7673 Segmentation fault      (core dumped) /usr/bin/php /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi/softaculous/cron.php >> /dev/null 2>&1

Softaculous should be working fine but we havent faced this problem yet.
Can you PM me the root details so that I can try and install and check the errors ?

We have fixed the issue and will be also included in 1.6
The issue was of Retieving MySQL users.
cPanel guys consulted us that on really rare servers this problem happens.
So no need to worry anymore.
