Hi to all!

I want starting to develop a facebook app, but I've read that facebook accepts only app in website under https.

It is possible to use Ampps with a ssl self signed certificate to develop the app in localhost?

Regards,
Marco

Hi,

Yes. I am assuming its just for development purpose and no other user except you will be using that app.

https://localhost

Specify the domain "localhost" while  creating the Facebook App. You can also create dummy domain via Ampps, do not forget to check "Use SSL" while adding a domain.

https://my-domain.com

Well, we haven't tried creating any App yet. Let us know if you are able to create one.

Hi Tidus.

Thanks for your response. I've tried that mode (ad similar others), but nothing seems to work in the right mode.

If I try to go on the page https://myappname.dev, both chrome and firefox tell me that the certificate isn't valid.

Facebook side, however, the page is loaded, I can see the "Hello World", but isn't able to load the facebook session. I think there's no problem on that code, 'cause I've taked it from the facebook developer guide (https://developers.facebook.com/docs/php/gettingstarted/4.0.0)
