Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 3 Status:	Hi, I'm just trying out Magento using Softaculous! Go me. However I have a question. Is the Magento package included in Softaculous the free Community Edition? Not the enterprise version? I presume its the former but I just wanted to ask. Thanks.

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 3 Status:	Hi, Thanks, that's useful information however I think I was unclear in my post as to the meaning of my query. Let me try and be clearer: I believe I must be using the paid version of Softaculous, as I had Magento available to me, and have installed it on a web server. What I want to know is whether the Magento package itself included in the paid softaculous is the Community Edition of Magento (which I assume it is ), or the enterprise version.

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 3 Status:	I mean as far as I know there's not much difference between the Magento CE codebase and the Magento Enterprise code base - much of the value lies in support I expect. However I just wanted to know just to be sure. I don't want to be developing something on my Softaculous-installed instance of Magento, only to find problems if i try to take what i learn and apply it to a manually installed instance of Magento CE on some other server.
