 MySql, Can’t connect to MySql after OS X update (7 Replies, Read 7311 times)

I just upgraded to OS X 10.9.4 and now get an error stating I can’t connect to MySql. Prior to OS X update, all was fine.

I just restarted my Mac and AMPPS. According to the Control Panel, both Apache and MySql started successfully. Here is the error message displayed when I attempt to launch my Joomla page:Error displaying the error page: Application Instantiation Error: Could not connect to MySQL.

I attached the logs on the 9th. Will I be able to get any assistance with this?

Hi,

Take a backup of your data directory first. i.e /Applications/AMPPS/var

Then open MySQL Configuration and add the line "innodb_force_recovery = 1" in [mysqld] section.

Try starting server then.

Doing so got this error message...

Error displaying the error page: Application Instantiation Error: Operation not allowed when innodb_forced_recovery > 0. SQL=DELETE FROM `jos_session` WHERE `time` < '1405436449'

Hi,

After your MySQL started successfully, have you removed the line("innodb_force_recovery = 1") from MySQL configuration file through Ampps?

If not then remove it and restart your MySQL again.
Please let us know if you still facing the problem.
