Clone / WP W3 Total Cache plugin problem? (3 Replies, Read 6401 times)

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 39 Status:	ONLY on the sites that were created by the Clone function in Softaculous panel get this error "The required directives fro fancy permalinks could not be detected, please confirm they are available" i have 35 sites, 1 primary, 34 addon. out of 12 tried so far, W3 Total Cache installs fine in all originally created sites, every site that was created by cloning gets this error. brijesh, you might remember i was one of the first users to ever clone, and i did find some bugs and your techs went into my cpanel and fixed the bug. one buy was the permalinks in the first Clone release wasn't working properly and you guys corrected that error. and note, looking at there warning/error W3 gives me, the links already are fancy permalinks (since i can only see text words as i created the url). it seems too coincidental and some buried permalink id doesn't get changed in the clone process? ps. the W3 Total Cache warns me i don't have a .htaccess file but all sites do. thank you!

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 39 Status:	one of the InmotionHosting.com techs found a solution. go to Settings > Permalinks > and disable Permalinks then re-enable them. in my case i had Permalinks set to "Post name" so i enabled "Default" > Save. then enable "Post name" > Save and the W3 error vanished. still, this ONLY happens, so far, on sites i cloned with Softaculous.

Can you please provide the steps to replicate the issue. I tried several combinations : 1. Fresh WordPress install with permalinks set to "Post name" and then Clone it and then install W3 Total Cache. 2.
