 AMPPS 2.8 won't run on OSX Mavericks (10.9.5), either, Immediate crash upon opening (2 Replies, Read 7309 times)

I wanted to try AMPPS, so I downloaded the most recent version (2.8) yesterday and installed it. Ampps.app crashes immediately. It cannot run. I came here to the forums and saw the entry "AMPPS cannot be opened on OS/X Yosemite."

My OSX error text and report look similar:

Seeing that someone suggested going back to AMPPS 2.7 and provided a link to the installation pkg, I installed it and tried it. So far, so good.

I decided to post this as a new topic, so everyone knows the problem isn't just with Yosemite.
