I am trying to test Moodle version 2.8 using AMPPS v3.0. Moodle requires Apache to have 'Slasharguments' set and the initial config screen will complain if this is not done. According to all the documentation it should be a simple matter of adding the directive
AcceptPathInfo on

to the httpd.conf. This I have done using the ampps app and then Apache : Configuration.
Then a restart. However, the change does not seem to result in Moodle picking up slasharguments.
Other changes I made to add a php extension did work.

To try to figure out whether Apache was actually processing the httpd.conf correctly I executed :

$ cd /Applications/AMPPS/apache
$ sudo bin/apachectl configtest

to test the configuration file. Then I ran into two errors which I believe are Apachectl errors and not
from the httpd.conf file :

bin/apachectl: line 80: ulimit: open files: cannot modify limit: Invalid argument
bin/apachectl: line 110: /usr/local/apps/apache/bin/httpd: No such file or directory

there is no
/usr/local/apps/apache/bin/httpd directory though I could do a symlink from
Applications/AMPPS/apache/bin/httpd which I think would fix line 110. But the error
on line 80 I don't know how to address.

Returning to the original issue, does anyone have an idea as to why 'Acceptpathinfo on' doesn't seem to work ?
