Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 3 Status:	Hello, Recently i purchased a new domain for my website,and in a few months my current domain will expire,so now im in transition phase. Although my new domain works perfectly fine,it does not appear in softaculous jooma installations or anywhere as existing. Yesterday i managed to clone the first domain called geo-world.org.uk and in clone installation details ,i have the option to point the clone into the new domain called georld.com. Once i did that i had accidentally left the default option ''Joomla 30'' in the clone installation which i didn't like so i decided to delete the clone installation with result ALL MY WEBSITE'S files being deleted. Note that i deleted the clone installation and not the primary one which was geo-world.org.uk. Anyway after some long night work i have restored one of my domains the new one georld.com but the first seems not to be working. Trying to clone it gives me the error : It is not possible to clone an installation to the same location . I would like to be able to manage through softaculous my new domain georld.com ,and restore somehow my old domain geo-world.org.uk to point where it did. Sorry for the long post!

Group: Softaculous Team Post Group: Super Member Posts: 5644 Status:	Hi, Does both your domains point to the same path ? If yes then it is not possible to clone an installation to same path. Regarding the files being deleted Softaculous will delete the files only related to that installation. Was the path same ? If yes we will try to replicate this situation on our servers and check this. Both my domains point to the same website (i am not sure what path is) Once my domain subscription gets finished in a few months (one of the two i own expires in a few months) and this is the one that is registered through softaculous. Do you think that the new one will have any operating problems? So basically i own domain a.com and domain b.com. Domain a.com expires soon,but is registered with softaculous (this is the domain that joomla was first installed). Domain b.com is identical (file wise) to domain a.com and this is the one that i will use in the next few years (hopefully).

In the attachment provided you can see domain a.com which expires soon.
