while not a upgrade for the 1.5 version, it is a complete new version, is it possible that Softaculous is going to add this version as a separate install ?

Hi,

We have created a new enrty for 1.6
Its a seperate script and we will phase out 1.5 in the coming months as the world starts moving towards 1.6

Joomla 1.6 is nice but IMHO you should leave both versions for some time, as most of the modules, plugins and themes are still 1.5.xx only.
