Greetings,

I am trying to wrap my head around this.

I have my AMPPS server at ip 192.168.5.11 on my local network
My local domain is theshire.local and I have a DNS server on 192.168.5.1

I am trying to connect to the amps server from another workstation on my domain lets say 192.168.5.50

I placed an entry in my dns for the ampps server called web2.theshire.local that points to the IP at 192.168.5.11

I can connect to the ampps menus and everything works fine when typing in //web2/ampps

I am trying to use add domain to create the following joe.theshire.local so when I go to joe.theshire.local it should bring up the directory for joe.theshire.local however it does not, it instead brings up the directory for 127.0.0.1 where I can see the cgi.bin and also the joe.theshire.local directories but does not give me the root of joe.theshire.local

Hope this makes sense and someone can assist. For now I just install all to the root folder and am able to connect via //web2/wp for example "Wordpress" but I would like to put them under thier own directory/domain

Thanks
