custom installation, installation of a custom script from Softaculous. (9 Replies, Read 10835 times)

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 7 Status:	good day, I'm not an expert in Softaculous, but I need to know if the following is possible: I have a Joomla template, and I want to do is include this template in the installation of Joomla Softaculous. The best thing would be to create a Joomla installation and put a different name for example: my template - Joomla, then when my customers install this version of Joomla will be able to use my template. If that is not possible, then I would like to know how to add this template to the default installation of Joomla Softaculous. Greetings.

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 7 Status:	thanks for your answer, clear to me that if possible, but the main problem is I'm not a programmer and am not able to perform the procedure of creating the package. Is it possible to send me the install package, Joomla 1.5 and 2.5? thus I shall replace only the files and parameters that are necessary, the procedure described on the page you sent me I understand but I can not do with my installation of Joomla, if you could give me these packages joomla 1.5 and 2.5 would be nice for me and anyone else who needs to do a similar process. Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 7 Status:	Hello, and thank you for your help, i am not a programmer and my language is not english so was hard to me find the ssh codes to download the files, but i think more people maybe have the same questions so i will share whats i did: i use this comand: first this: cp /var/softaculous/joomla16/* /home/user/public_html/somedirectory/ this command will copy all the archives in joomla16 and paste in a directory in a public_html of some user, but in joomla16 u will have an other directory called images, so u need ru this command: cp /var/softaculous/joomla16/images/* /home/user/public_html/somedirectory/images/ then i did use filezilla to enter in the public_html of the user and then to the somedirectory and download the files and custumized i hope this can help some one, and i wanna know if is posible create a new category?

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 7 Status:	ok i understand. i have troubles with the custom script, i will tell u whats i did: i login in my server with ssh and access to /var/softaculous/joomla16/ , i did download all the files are: configuration.php fileindex.php import.php info.xml install.js install.php install.xml joomla16.sql notes sample_data.sql upgrade.php upgrade.xml and a folder called images with a png file and the zip file called joomla16 so i have a clone installer file, that means in the archive i have the template, so i didnt touch any file, and i just remove the zip file called joomla16 and replaced with my file, is a joomla 2.5 installation pack with my template, and then i upload all the archives to /var/softaculous/joo1/ (i did create this folder before) then i go to whm > puglins > softaculous and i did create a custom script, but i can see the script in cpanel, i login in cpanel and i can see the script, but when i try to install say: The following errors were found : The installation package could not be found! so i dont know if i am ok with the process, can you help me, is ok my process or whats should i do? Sorry for my english i hope you understand.

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 7 Status:	ok, that works fine, i mean i can do the installation, but with out the template, i did check the sql file, and i found some lines say insert: template name, etc...., i think i need add the template manually here, because when i finish the installation and go to template manager i cant see the template. Really thank you for your help, now i know more many things. If you can offer a custom script installation services in the future will be exelent, because me for example, i need put this joomla with the template to offer as an extra services to my clients.
