Hello,
I have AMMPS running on my macbookpro running 0s x 10.9.2

From AMMPS HOME I added a domain and installed WordPress on it.
So I got the install running at localhost/mydomain.com
This is a real domain, it also runs on a webserver.
The idea is to develop locally and then push the changes ton the live site.

But when I go tho the loginpage, at localhost/mydomain.com/wp-admin I am redirected to the live version of the site on the web.

How can I prevent this so I can login to my local site?
Thanks

I should add that not only the login page points to the live version, all links on the local version point me toward the live site on the web.

Hi,

If the domain was added correctly you should be able to access directly http://mydomain.com (your local site), yes you would not be able to access your live site then. You will have to disable the entry in the hosts file to access the live site or use http://www.mydomain.com to access the live site.

I am guessing the domain was not added correctly can you check if the domain entry was added in the hosts file. You can check the content of hosts file from Manage Domains in Enduser Panel of Ampps.

OK, makes sense.
I already deleted the domain and installed the site in 127.0.0.1/mysite
This works well and I can now easily access both local and remote sites.

If only I could find a way to easliy push database changes from local to remote and vice versa then it would be a perfect development setup.

Thanks
